Pakistan Vs England 2nd ODI Headingly ground.England 295 for 6 (Strauss 126, Trott 53) beat Pakistan 294 for 8 (Kamran 74, Broad 4-81) by four wickets. Andrew Strauss anchored England's challenge with a determined 126 from 134 balls, and added 146 for the second wicket with Jonathan Trott, who was run out for 53, as Pakistan's stiff target of 295 was overhauled with four wickets and three balls to spare in a thrilling encounter at Headingley. A clutch of late wickets threatened to derail England's serene progress, not least when Strauss and Eoin Morgan fell in consecutive overs with 35 still needed, but with six runs needed from the final over, bowled by Umar Gul, Tim Bresnan top-edged a pull for four to put the result beyond doubt.

Full report to follow.
