Randi Rhodes quits Air America, this channel is moving

Last week Air America suspended Randi Rhodes for abusive, obscene language at a recent public appearance in San Francisco which was sponsored by an Air America affiliate station.

Air America Media was informed last night by Ms. Rhodes that she has chosen to terminate her employment with the company.

We wish her well and thank her for past services to Air America. We will soon announce exciting new talent and programming that will accelerate Air America's growth in the future.

Capitalism did not cause business to relocate.Higher taxes and wages(unions)along with gov't regulations,which other countries don't have,are largely to blame.If a company can't make money,what's the point of being in business?History has proven that lower taxes generate more revenue and prosperity for all-something college professors don't teach.Watch youtube video" the great depression of 1920" by Tom Woods.He discusses gov't intervention,and the harm it causes.

It is in my city's best interest to put out fires to protect their tax base,and to protect my neighbors,including the ones I don't like-a more realistic way to look at community.Over taxing only helps to drive people away,causing those who remain to suffer more.Detroit is a prime example.

It's not that we're not allowed to make those things anymore, it's that those countries have lower taxes. So capitalism, which you say this country is built on, causes businesses to take jobs overseas to third world countries. So should we become like those third world countries & lower our taxes to their levels & hope the businesses will return?

You believe that you're city's Fire Dept. has the ability to put out a fire in your home ONLY BECAUSE YOU PAID $100 in Local tax out of one of your checks??!!! That doesn't cover the cost of 2 gallons of water pumped through the hose. And the average fire fight will expend 2 gallons in less than a minute! It's because ALL OF YOUR NEIGHBORS, EVEN the ones who don't like you, help pay the way for your safety. Just as you do theirs. Again, it's called "community".

You think that your Interstate roads don't degrade into gravel and asphalt paths JUST BECAUSE you, & YOU ALONE paid $340 in State tax out of one of your paychecks?!!! That doesn't BEGIN to cover the cost of 1 square mile of asphalt blacktop! We ALL pay each others way in order to enjoy safe, smooth roads on our daily commutes to work.
