LYRICS:
PHB, down the street, opens up the doors at 11:30.
Gonna get an ice-cold, glass full of Pepsi then I do as I please with pepperoni and cheese!
Look for the red roof and follow the smell to the brown brick walls and Indian personnel.
I'll be playin Pac-Man while I'm waiting for the Pepperoni, Personal Pan, and the Stuffed Crust if I'm lucky.
All you can eat and all you can drink and prices are cheap,
their dip n' cinnamon sticks can't be beat.
Now it's time for the salad bar to balance the grease,
Fill my plates with lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, dressing and cheese.
PHB with a captial P Pizza Hut Buffet's the place you gotta be.
With the FREE REfills on the soda and pasta and pizza,
Ain't no Domino's, Papa John's or Little Ceasar's.
CiCi's? We don't need no stinkin' CiCi's!
You'll see me eating crust first as I quench my thirst,
Chompin down slice by slice till my belly's about to burst.
It was the hot spot in the 90's for family nights out and birthday parties.
Big pitchers of coke and Personal Pan minis, I remember the commercials with Pizza Head and Steve, but now it's startin' to catch the Domino's disease. Yo, we've gotta fight back against home delivery!
P-H-B-UF-FE-T Pizza Hut Buffet is the only place to be.
With FREE REfills on the soda and pasta and pizza. Just say no to Domino's and Little Ceasar's.
No no no no nonononono...
You down with PHB? (Yeah you know me!)
Who's down with PHB? (Everybody who's anybody!)
I've gotta get my FIX of salad and bread STICKS, marinara SAUCE TA MIX with the PASTA. Go on and get your plate you don't have to wait, you ain't got no waiter, so save change for later when you get up and rock it with the change in your pocket, get the jukebox jukin' interrupt the people talking.
I'm just kidding my man, no need to be a dip, they clean up your mess so you gotta leave a tip.
There's a PHB, down the street, For 2 hours straight it's All You Can Eat!
I'm gonna get an ice-cold glass full of Pepsi in one of those red cups they've had since the 90's.
P to the H to the B UFFET, Pizza Hut Buffet's the place to be,
With free refills on the soda and pasta and pizza. Say no to Domino's, Papa John's and Little Ceasar's.
You down with PHB? (Yea you know me!)
Who's down with PHB? (Pizza Head and Steve!)
PHB with a capital P to the H to the B.U.F.F.E.T. Flippin' plates and plates of deep dish pepperoni and cheese, P-H-B- to the U-F-F-E.T.
Let's go to the Hut!
*Disclaimer: I don't mean to offend any Indian personnel out there, I just thought it was interesting that all the pizzas huts I go to are run by people from India. I actually sponsor a child from India through Compassion International named Nitin Bairagee.
I love the underlying 90's motif illustrating the temporal stagnation of one of our nation's most prevalent food chains. The video weaves a great ambiguity as to whether PHB should be condemned or cherished for this and whether we are to feel disgust or nostalgia. It leaves the audience forced to reconcile their own convictions on the matter and invokes some deeper level of introspection that is not often prompted by the arts.
