This is one of the most significant moments of the the Convention because only days prior to this, it was unclear that Clinton would wholly support Obama.
This is also noteworthy because Obama's home state of IL deferred its nomination opportunity to NY which had the 282 votes to propel Obama to the winning requirement of 2210 votes.
This action fully demonstrated her commitment to unify the Democratic Party which was imperative to winning in November.
