Curious - How did you "reinstall the software" on the SSD? I was under the impression these devices came with no CDs/DVDs...?

It works just fine for those purposes. That noted I'm still not personally sold on the netbook as a primary device. The screen real estate alone is a major issue if you are using it constantly and it is better a companion device than a primary one. But will it work... yes...
