I found this game in my basement--what a terrible game. I'm amazed you devoted 9 minutes to it. There's even an FAQ on GameFAQs, which explains how to land. I remember hating this game even as a kid. It still sucks and is impossible.

@reaperflynn3 The goofness is part of the charm. 'The Black Hole' wouldn't have been as memorable if the robots, VINCent and BOB, had been all Transformerfied. Retro is chic.

'Star Soldier' and 'Legendary Wings' were both better. The multi-tone gray with shadows motif reminds me of the beginning portion of 'Space Quest 2: Vohaul's Revenge' (my fave of that series).
"Fluffernutter" = best word ever! XD

the punk is cracy but cool!

I think its a pretty sweet movie, as long as you expect it to be a little goofy, but this game is complete ass.

Ralph Bakshi got a game? Fire and Ice would have been dope playing as Rexxar... I mean Lone Wolf.

Wow, same music driver as Mad Max. Awesome!
Great review as always, Pat! Keep it up!

I have been playing this game since I was 10 years old. Maybe not consistently, but I played the hell out it a lot when I was a kid. As an adult, I've picked it up about once a year and dedicated a few weeks here, and a few months there. I've only ever beat 7 of the 15 levels. This game is DAMN hard. I will say this, though, it's fun to play. The controls are solid, and the visual effects are impressive when you really analyze them. If I do nothing else in my life, I will beat this game.
Actually Uridum is a ripoff of an Atari 800 game called Shadow Spotter, so looking out for the shadows on the obstacles actually made sense until they changed the name twice!

@SuicideChild13 - Many games based on movies are pretty terrible, but there have been a few great ones.
Take E.T. for the Atari 2600 for example. Oh wait, that is one of the worst games ever (for how many copies sold to unsuspecting victims)
I think the best movie licensed game would have to be the James Bond game Golden Eye 007 for the N64.
Can't think of any great ones for NES though... maybe Batman or Ninja Turtles?

Batman immediately springs to mind. TMNT was based more on the cartoon than the movie methinks.
