Amid mounting global fears the world's top economy is on the brink of default, the National Debt Clock in New York City serves as a nagging reminder of the United States' mounting debt. As the dollar slid to new lows and stock markets wobbled, the White House raised the stakes as Obama's Democratic allies and his Republican foes remained deadlocked in a bitter battle to raise the $14.3 trillion debt limit.Duration: 00:20

  • This is a easy problem to repair, Though it is not in our politicians peanut brains. Let's fix our infrastructure and put americans back to work. The goverment gets tax dollars , we get to live and eat, Look to the past, Roosevelts (NEW DEAL PROGRAM) Why do we have such asses running our country? Let's use some common sense for a change.

  • @RamenReturns,

Fuck off & die commie Ignoramus!

  • @thrummer1953 oh get a fucking life seriously.

  • So many comments from so many people who don't understand and probably aren't even following the debt talks to know what has been proposed so far and what they would support or why. Scapegoating is easy. Thinking and making the right phone call... too hard.

  • @Ramen Returns,

The United States isn't a democracy, has never been a democracy & we never WANT a democracy.

The United States is a constitutional republic.

  • @thrummer1953 Obama cares. He will fundamentally transform America just like he said he would. He will redistribute the wealth. He is ROBIN HOOD. He will take from the rich and give to the poor.

  • @thrummer1953 With all due respect I just cant agree with that. Half the people say Bush was horrible, the other half say Obama is horrible, but realistically is it just one person with this power? Between everyone making moves, talking in checking in to their bosses,we cant blame bush or obama by them selves for anything thats just ignorant, My concern is the people really making the decisions are the ones behind closed doors. And our fault too with our day to day living.

  • @thrummer1953 If you don't like democracy you can gtfo. Buhbye!

  • @StinkFingerr You're a moron.

  • How about we stop paying congress, the house, and the president, its obviously these assholes don't do anything to earn their money.
