@maganz I will second that - "Payin' your Dues with the Blues" is one of the very best guitar books I have ever seen on the subject of jazz/blues for guitarists, and I have tons of books. I put it up there next to Ted Greene's books, and that is saying something! I have nothing but admiration for this guy - thank you Mr Umble!
Just bougth it! Higly recommended modern jazz/blues style material.
You'll be well adviced to check out his books. If I should recommend one single book for blues guitarists, I would mention Jay Umble "Payin' Your Dues With The Blues". Another must have is his "Improvisational Techniques For Jazz Guitar".
