@LetsLiveForHIM This pride was a rogue pride, thus the lions went after cattle and they would be a danger to people. It was either this or the lions would have been killed.

@LetsLiveForHIM these are all over agressive cats, humans have taken too much space, lions start invading farmland then humans try to kill them, therefore these reserves tries to save them by putting them in containment, if they can't behave in containment then they will be killed and Dave is trying to prevent that. it's always the humans.
