On the run and at a new kitchen we bring you vegan fettuccine alfredo. Yeah, it's real good!

Ingredients:
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion (diced)
SoyBoy Italian tofu - half a brick (diced) or you can use our seitan
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp thyme
2 1/2 to 3 cups almond milk
2 cloves of grated garlic
1/4 cup capers
1 1/2 to 2 cups sliced shiitake mushrooms
1 thinly sliced scallion
vegan fettuccine

  • Amazing recipe! I'd considered going vegan for some time BUT never did cause I simply had no idea what to cook, buy etc. YOUR videos have really enabled me to get up and run with this. You should really be on the food network channel because you have a niche that's not out there in mainstream TV and your video's are funny too. Question... what is the significance of the zombie, my husband and I have been discussing this but have yet to figure it out. Keep up the great work!

  • @tracyrscott Thanks! The original concept was a script for the movie which we used for the idea in our cooking show. Let's just say that, in the movie, at some point, the main character isn't so lucky fending off zombies. We intend to shed some light on that in our cookbook.

  • I LOVE your videos and recipes BUT I'm allergic to soy and tofu. Please add more recipes with no soy or tofu :-)

    And where can I get some of those t-shirt?!

  • @wboni001 we did these with tofu b/c someone asked us to do some videos with tofu haha. You can always leave the tofu out and use something like seitan, which you can make yourself and leave soy sauce out. We will have more recipes without soy. The shirts our on the website store, which is down at the moment. Contact us here in a personal message or at zombiegate at gmail dot com.

  • @wboni001 Awesome, I suggest using the seitan we used in our Philly Cheese Steak video, and when you go to cook itroll it up in a bit of cheesecloth. It will keep its shape and come out nicely. A little update of our own. :)

  • @ZombieGate oh yeah that is the recipe I found. Didn't know there was another one. Will try it this weekend. Will keep you posted since I am FAR for kitchen friendly lol I guess that is why I am relying on people like you to teach me how to cook vegan :-) oh and all the rescue dogs will be having some since every single dog that comes into my rescue is under a vegan diet lol
