Toronto, Ontario -- November 20, 2011 -- We've all heard of the phrase "A match made in heaven" but this was a "match made in the boxing ring!" MJKO founders Miranda Jollymore and Ibrahim Kamal who is an eight time Canadian National Boxing Champion, have decided to exchange their vows in the same place that brought them together; the boxing ring. This wedding is a tribute to the sport that brought them together and inspired them to create MJKO. Married in at Cabbagetown Boxing Club on November 20, 2011.

When asked why they decided to get married in the ring, Jollymore had this to say: "We are both "Champions" in life and what better place to share our love with the world than the place that changed us both for the better, Cabbagetown Boxing Club. We teach our students that success and happiness, is in finding what you love to do and then sharing your gift with others. It has nothing to do be material things. You can't buy happiness."

The creation of MJKO started with Jollymore's spinal cord injury, which crushed her dreams of having a competitive boxing career. During the treacherous days of recovery, Jollymore decided that she was going to leave the world of mortgage brokerage, which had been her career and pursue something that meant something to her. This she did, with the help of Kamal, who is currently one of the head trainers at MJKO and Canada's most feared lightweight with a professional record of 6 victories, 0 losses. Since then MJKO has grown and works with many partners in the community such as the Toronto Police, Youth Assisting Youth, Kids Up Front Foundation, The Running Room, Harbourfront Community Centre, Toronto District School Board and Cabbagetown Boxing Club.

As an organization working with youth, it has proven its mettle and strength through working with great community partners like the ones mentioned above. Over the past year they have tackled youth issues one punch and one slip at a time!
