@legandrydirk Jack Daniels does not call itself bourbon. It's labeled as Tennessee sour mash. Much like Scotch can only be called Scotch if it comes from Scotland, bourbon is typically only called bourbon if it comes from Kentucky. While it's not required by law in the U.S., it's a standard that is usually upheld. And both Scotch and bourbon are whiskey (or whisky, in the case of Scotch). In fact, most Scotch is aged in old bourbon casks imported from the U.S.
@SigmaEntertainment88 There from Glasgow one of them was at high school with me.Saw them jam a few times there, before they were B and B.Thin Lizzy were from Ireland, there still all Celtic. The best whiskey is islay,in my opinion. From up on the islands.Irish whiskey that I have tried has been to peaty. And trust me I have tried a lot over the years. The English have even started making it.I have never tried it.I would try anything once.Be funny if I thought it was better. Some how I doubt it would be
@legandrydirk yeah I know it's scottish, if i have to drink i usually choose scotch :P
and somebody told me that irish consider their whiskey the "purer" because they distill it 3 times instead of 2 (like scotch) but i'm not sure of it :P
anyway my question was why did they choose a scottish whisky instead of an irish one for the cover, elrubin answered that they are a scottish band, and I didnt know that :P
@SigmaEntertainment88 Johnnie Walker is not Irish, its Scottish to the core. The bonds in Springburn in Glasgow. And its better than anything in the super market. If you buy it right out of there shop there at the place. The Welsh also say they made Whiskey first. But it propably came from Egypt. And was used as antiseptic,to put on to wounds.
@Jannem83 what he meant is that this version, like Metallica's and some other versions, is based on Thin Lizzy's cover. The lyrics are from their version and the guitar riff is originally from their version (as far as I know).
@pugmalion1 Only blends are used with bourbon casks. You would never put a single malt near one.
