  • i want to do the same thing but just wondering wat exhuast manifold u where useing

  • @erndaugg, I built the manifold as described in the sdsefi website, I can't post up the link, but is in their tech page called "Fabricating a turbo header".

  • Im doing the same setup on my stock 22re. how many pounds of boost are you running and are you running any performance injectors or any fuel management

  • I'm running 11 PSI now, and the injectors are from a Supra (440cc). Engine management is Megasquirt ,V2.2 board, flashed with MegasquirtnSpark-extra firmware, and add-on flyback board for the low impedance injectors, and another add-on PWM board for driving a 3-wire Bosch IACV. The V3.0 board already has these add-ons on the mainboard.

  • how many horses?

  • I dont know.. no dyno here.

  • if its not knocking or ticking you have a problem.

  • If you read the sidebar, it says he replaced the carb with the EFI unit and the turbo.

  • @erndaugg I'm going to go out on a limb and say SteedSpeed? I think they are the only makers currently of top mount turbo manifolds.

  • 22-R = 22-Rocksolid!

  • C = California emissions compliant for that vintage

  • awesome motor,my 22r just had new valves and recon head, its a 1990 and it floged a new hilux lol

  • No, you are quite wrong, 22R = Carb, 22RE = EFI (hence the 'E'), then there is the rather rare 22RET (turbo).

  • its actuley a 22RET. r is carb, re is EFI, ret is turbo. iv herd of a 22RETC but not sure what it is. a 22ret is a 22re but with low comp rings and a turbo. a 22re is a 22r block with efi straped in their.

  • pretty sure that it can be eather way 22r (efi) or 22re(efi)
