@LeinadEstel Yeah, if that IS a romance scene, I will be pissed. She has been married for thousands of years for goodness sake! The only thing that keeps my hopes up is that they have the song words right and they actually kept all 13 dwarves (a very large cast for a movie). However, whenever I here about their added female character, my heart sinks a little. Why oh why can't a producer have the balls to say "look, the story doesn't NEED romance, so it isn't GETTING romance."

@fingolfinx No need to be so harsh. I enjoy both, but as separate entities. Both are works of art in their field, but I find the books far superior. I think the movies captured the "feel" of many regions, but it did deviate from the lore in many ways that bug me. But just cause I enjoy watching the movies does not mean I am not a true fan of Tolkien. I could recount in descent detail much of the history of Arda and Ea from the Ainulindale to the Black Gate. So don't tell me I am not a fan.

I watched the trailer of the Hobbit... It looked like there was something between Gandalf and Galadriel...I hate the movie the Hobbit and it's 'makers' who commercialised it in two parts.

If you cant make the movie scene for scene from the book, then you should leave it alone. Jackson didnt even try to follow the book. He just made up his own parts. Now hes gonna butcher the Hobbit. Its sad. Movie fans arent Tolkien fans.
