I don’t know about success at both events if its measured on gold medals but Alan Pascoe was pretty decent at both as well – 1971 European silver & 1969 European bronze at 110mH and 1974 European gold at 400mH, the only difference being he did the shorter event first and moved up after 1972. Hemery himself also won a European 110mH silver in his time as well – the year after Mexico.
