In the East they were called Bogomils and Paulicians; in the West, Patarenes, Tixerands (i.e. Weavers), Bulgars, Concorricii, Albanenses, Albigeois, Cathars and Manicheans.

Catharism-bogomilism is the religion of the Spirit (the Paraclete).

Catharism-bogomilism broke away with ecclesial Christianity by the PARACLETE. According to Christianity,mankind is saved by the Son. For Cathars the salvation is proccesed by the Paraclete, the Consoler. He, the holy Ghost, awakens the soul from its sleep in matters to lead it to its primary mission and gives it the desire of the Absolute, the God.

Cathars were a widespread heretical religion of the middle ages scattered in the 10-14 ct over East and West having they annalogs in Mohamedan world.
