@afa78djd Yes but what I ment is messi probably didn't even know marcelo was there, he saw there's a space so he decided to pass, but when he passed it he realized that marcelo was there.

@afa78djd The first line of my comment being sarcastic obviously. In other words, If I had never seen Messi do this before then I would agree, it was a lucky move, but he's done this before and not just him but many Argentinian, Argentine or however you call them, players like Verón, Zanetti, Riquelme, Kily Gonzales, Cambiasso, the Baros Schelotto twins, etc.

@MasterFootballSoccer Luck just "happens" it's never done intentionally, just like this here play by Messi. He's done this countless times and is the closest thing to a signature move by Argentinean football players. If you have ever seen the Argentinean League you would know how the go to the sidelines, step on the ball, wait for 2 or 3 defenders to come put pressure, then attempt a quick and elaborate getaway, leaving them dumbfounded and making them look stupid, like Messi did here.
