Scorsese actually scratched the film up by hand to give it an older more authentic look. This is my favorite movie scene of all time.

@filmnoirist i thought i was the only one that felt that way.. everytime i would watch with friends they thought i was weird because i felt that part with the music.. nice to know theres some1 like u out there!
