He is a true artist: "life as it could be and as it ought to be"

Terry Goodkind's a pathetic author. Every single one of his characters is heavily stereotyped, his plot is far too typical (destiny), and while he TALKS about objectivity, he never gives you a chance to decide for yourself who you think is right. Its black and white, no shades of gray. Political intrigue my ass. I've never regretted reading anything more than a Goodkind book.
Please, read books from a real author, like Robin Hobb. Or Terry Pratchett. Actually, anyone except Goodkind.

@AlexanderLogain He's just not good at giving interviews. His strength is writing, not interviewing.
-
Hey Terry, try writing a book where Kahlan says, "i'm pregnant." Then Shota, as well as others find out, and they try to do her harm.
-
if you dont like the books he has written im totally OK with that. but if you don't understand the ideals he is trying to teach you in his books well... i dont really know how to express myself good enough in english but you are pretty much violating the truth about humanity. you can read his ideals in his books but that doesn't mean that you understand them. if we would all try and make the best of our lives than the world would be a better place. Change starts with one step.
-
i notice that when im reading his book that often he preaches his views in great detail and it is very cringe worthy and it gets very boring
-
he expressed his point excellently.

Watch hitlers thoughts to get an accurate picture, love his first 3 books but i really hate the asshole fuck everyone ayn rand crap he preaches,it makes me regret helping him become a success in my own small way.
Goodkind is the most pretentious, condescending, unlikable author i have ever seen give an interview. Basically, he is Richard, and Richard is awesome ergo...
His books are uninventive and contain some of the worst writing you will ever see. Perhaps the only time i have regretted reading something so much.

He's an arrogant dick. It only comes through a little bit in the beginning of this interview though, go out on the 'net and read some more of them. He likes to put down the fantasy genre, claiming his books are something more special. It's crap. His books are pretty much cookie-cutter fantasy with a huge heaping of preachy Ayn Rand-iness. The guy forces his political ideals down your throat with the stories. Also borrows a lot of his stuff from Robert Jordan (a MUCH better author).
