@bertazoid I guess that it builds the shape based on a combination of mostly perpendicular views, it is not an realtime directional view like a camera, it is actually plotting the shapes then doing a virtual travel through it not at a particular moment but a collection of plots in time.
Why doesn't it pick up the car driving in front of it @ 2:40? I thought it might have some kind of blind spot, but it picks up the manhole cover which is behind the car.

Amazing technology. I wonder how long it will be before Google implements this sort of thing in their Google Earth app.
