This is a digital clock date thermometer I made based on PIC16F84A/PIC16F628(A) microchip and DS18S/B20

You can set :
hours(ho:[0..23]),
minutes(nn:[0..59]),
date day(dd:[1..days/month]),
date month(dn:[1..12]),
date year(dY:[0..99] where 0 is 2000),
date type(dt:[1,2] if 1 then use letters to display the month, if 2 use numbers),
time to show time (tt:[2..99]),
time to show date(td:[0..99]),
time to show temperature(tE:[0..99]),
second length in microseconds (Sh:Sl [0..FF]),

Sh and Si options allow you to calibrate the clock by adjusting the second length. Sh and Sl are not in the video because I added them later.
Timers: tt, td and tE are in seconds. If td and/or tE are 0 then the date and/or the temperature are not displayed.
The year is not displayed but is needed to calculate days/month.
More information about how you can build one you can find at http://www.bogdi.ro/electronics/digital%20clock/

Enjoy!
Bogdi.

  • what happens when you turn off the power source? if you turn it on again, would the time still match the current time, or will it stay where it was when you turned it off??

  • @astigenjrmusika Edit: Added battery backup to the project.. :-)

  • Okay, as i better recall it seems to be made using a DS1631 within 16f628. Good project.!

  • This project is by far one of the bests i've seen around. But i remember the person on the website displayed on the summary of the video also used the eponymous Dallas DS1307.
