Tarantulisimo: This theme music prior to the patriots and kurt was also used 2 more time. Sgt Slaughter used it when he faced HHH in a bootcamp match. And Team USA used it in survivor series 97.

OK here's the deal: Theme was written by Jim Johnston, who has been the WWF/WWE in-house music composer since the 80s. He's written/co-written nearly every wrestler's music since then. The Patriot music was prolly already written way B4 The Patriot came on2 the scene in 97. The Patriot was only in the WWF/WWE 4 like 6 months, & Angle didn't debut til about 2 years later, so they just reused the theme music, prolly due 2 2 the fact that the music fit Angle's arrogantly patriotic persona/gimmick.
