  • Basically, by debasing the immorality and logic of western sentiment against Muslims -- this provides Muslims with power and legitimacy.Ramadan argues that instead of thinking of ourselves as "minority" and being over sensitive/obsessed with self protection, Western Muslims should rather integrate themselves and their way of life into western society. Keep the faith, just implement it into western society.

And yeah, his accent is pretty sweet too. His Arabic is top notch, I must say

  • I'm not completley sure myself. But I recently did start reading one of his books "Western Muslims and the Future of Islam". As we,(Muslims living in the west)are subjugated to usually unfair treatment(through mainstream media, the political aspect of society, etc.),we feel the need to overemphasize ourselves as "minority" and promote ideas such as "Islam has nothing to do with the west".

  • It was over the summer, in late June or early July I believe. The venue was Aiwan-e-Iqbal. Yeah, masha Allah Dr. Ramadan is an intelligent man.

  • One only fears what isn't understood.

The more that is learnt, and understood..the more liberated one feels.

  • "This is a matter or this knowledge is a matter of deen, so be careful who you take your deen from."(Muhammad ibn Sareeh rahimahullah)

  • Don't know much about his views. But I definitely love his French accent.

  • When did Prof. Ramadan speak in Lahore??!! And where in Lahore!! WOW!! I love this man.
