San Diego Zoo Party 2008

Random scenes of frivolity from the Zoo Party on Sunday of Gay Pride Weekend in San Diego. Starring my pals Dottie Dubois and Maude Chapeau, founders of the drag comedy troupe "Les Dames du Soleil" of Palm Springs. The "Henry" line refers to a story Dottie (aka Henry) told me that weekend about taking his elderly, dishevelled mother out on the Newport Beach pier in a wheelchair, leaving her alone for a few minutes with a beverage cup, and the reaction that people had to her when they walked by. Also mentioned is the SRO Lounge (www.srolounge.com), a fun, campy, gender-bender bar in downtown San Diego.
