For people unaware, double clutching is also useful for fast cornering. The quick rev in neutral gets the engine ready for performance in the lower gear. Downshifting normal causes the syncros to try to catch the right rpms causing you to slow down and taking more time to speed back up.

Double clutching is ONLY useful in NON syncroed transmission. IE: 1957 international. If your syncros go out, this would be the way to save your transmission. That is the only case to double clutch!!!
Fast and furious just wanted to sound cool. Just like NOS is flammable in that movie.

double clutching only has one purpose. if your driving a vehicle with warn out sincros. when you shift to neutral and let the clutch out it helps the sincros line up to grab another gear. people that do it in ricers are dumb as hell. it takes more time so why do it?

cant you shift to neutral with out using clutch??? thats what my dad told me. if you are ing ear and wanna go to neutral you can without clutch. or will it mess up something?

this is pretty fucking retarded, you don't need to double clutch, just press the clutch in, blip the throttle to the correct rpms , let the clutch out, that's a rev match downshift.. why in the hell would you have to double clutch downshift, i thought the only worthwhile downshifting techniques worth learning are heel-toe downshift and rev match downshift, double clutching is pretty damn pointless
