Greenport, NY Mayor David Nyce, spoke last night on a panel convened by LongIslandWins.com entitled "Don't Make Our Mistakes: Lessons from Riverside, NJ in the Costs of Attacking Immigrants." In this clip, he describes raids conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.)
@bubblez2787 That's great but I'm talking about illegal aliens not people that are legally here. They do not keep the LI economy afloat. I guarantee you that if they all got kicked out the many jobless citizens of LI would replace them in a heartbeat.

@Baknefct not all latino's are illegal, some of them have roots planted here in america possibly deeper than ur own family tree, even so being born here as a first generation or even lets say... being legally here of on a temp visa, should not be reason enough to say they are illegal... they keep LI economy afloat... so don't be ignorant... do your research then talk.

The police lost the trust of Illegal aliens? are you for real you idiot? I live in Suffolk county and the illegals here are ridiculous....Thanks you ICE for deporting them.

Maybe he doesn't like it but as an elected official, perhaps he should be more supportive of officer safety rather than sucking up to criminals (an illegal is breaking the law=criminal). As a Federal Agent, you can also identify yourself as a Federal Officer, but "Police" is understood by all. "Police" is also on most ICE raid jackets. What if the NY State Police showed up at their door and said "Police"? They are, are they not? But they are not "his" local police so that's a problem. Shut up!

The term "police" is understood, That's why it's used all over the world regardless of country. Try telling as house of illegal aliens that "immigration" is at the door. It's called "officer safety"
