@lilrob98765 Lmao, with only 3 years in drywall you talk a lot of shit. You have a long way to go before you can talk like that
-
@lilrob98765 - You would gamble with your words, that you with 3yrs (if that) do a "way better job" than ANY GUY? on ALL these vids?
Your lack of appreciation of those who have spent YEARS of perfecting this craftsmanship reflects the lack of maturity in the 3yrs (if that) that you have wasted during that time.
Over confidence & inexperience will always produce a result that makes you look like a total fool.

@lilrob98765 that's awesome! you could post some videos of you working to help the people out who came here looking for "how-to"s. That way those of us new to the stuff would have lots of experienced people to watch

i like these vids! you do good work

i see your technique, and it is pretty damn good, i also finish drywall professionally. if you keep the corner of the knife that is further away from the bead slightly turned so as to "snow plow" the mud into the void it gets it fuller faster and reduces air bubbles, helping little the end product, but it will allow you to do it faster with the same result, which makes a difference if you've got 50 to coat.

I'm looking at all the high walls and ceilings behind you and I wonder how you do this day in day out.

Ok yes u showed them to do one side lol but you should have sholwed them how to both sides cause all the acces that runs on that side u just made oh so pretty lol make it even do the other side and then go back make sure both sides are pretty not one side at a timethat will drive a person crazy noobies will be like what the hell lol

@TheCactus71 l like your videos and you definately know what you are talking about. You took a page right out of the usg construction handbook when you stated that you need to use a quick setting type mud for the first coat when using mesh tape. But mesh tape, according to the usg construction handbook, was primarily developed for plastering and anything can last on the market if people think its an easy way out
Mesh tape is for beveled joints only, not butt joints or corners. If you use mesh you really need to use durabond(quickset), it is less likely to crack.

@stutts59 I agree 100%. However, I use the new perfect finish mesh tape if I use mesh on butts. It is flatter and much tighter. I always completely prefill the joint and always use quickset.
