Strategic and tactical battle for world domination on, under and above the open seas. Take on the enemy as commander of the awesome contemporary navy of either NATO, the Nordic Alliance, Russia or the United States. Naval War: Arctic Circle is a first in a series of Real Time Strategy (RTS) games where the player battle enemy naval and aerial forces questing for power and ultimate world domination.

The game play takes place along the Norwegian and British coast, through Iceland and Greenland all the way to the North Americas and the North West Passage. In the Naval War game series the player will, in addition to the game campaigns, be able to play in skirmish, LAN and on-line modes, controlling a selected fraction from the original campaigns. In Arctic Circle, the fractions includes the United States, the Russian federation, the Nordic countries and NATO. Ultimately, Naval War: Arctic Circle tells a story about a power struggle for control of the world's resources and supply lines in the Polar Regions.

I do hope the crazy awesome norwegian metal music from the previous trailer is still intact in this game? it sounds toned down a lot here, what little music is in this video. but there is too little music here to make a definitive annoyed post style statement, so I think this is enough. for now. bring back the badassery, paradox. don't shave down all the edges too much damn it.

It's about time someone made a follow up to Jane's Fleet Command. Naval warfare sims are the best RTS genre you can buy, it's about time someone recognized this. Looking forward to this.

a little known game called fleet command was what i played all the time and it was realistic as fuck. old tho 1999, this looks like it might fineally replace it.

oh great, I have been on the lookout for a game that is a bit like Empire Earth in terms of units (planes, aircraft carriers, destroyers, subs) and gameplay. this seems promising
