i guess but it's not like its their fault. society has a big influence on people too and nowadays most guys get further with haircuts...like even punjabi girls want guys with haircuts nowadays not turbans so it's not even their fault....

  • @indianchick1011 I agree w/you. I know a lot of ppl who do it for parents. Im just saying that we shouldnt assume that 'parents' are the only reason. It could be a personal choice too. Honestly, I'd love to see pree/any guy with a beard if he/they are wearing a turban. A turban has a deep meaning to it if one is able to understand (just like Kesh does too) but most ppl dont and they wear it for cultural/parental reasons than for religious reasons. Whatever it is, it goes!

  • @urfriendnave

well i can give you an example also. one of my second cousins had a turban also and his dad was strict about it. First he used to trim his beard and his dad didn't like it but there wasn't much he could do. Then he cut his hair and removed his turban and his dad was really pissed off and depressed that he removed his turban.....trust me different people=different experiences/different thinking

  • @urfriendnave (continue) turbans because it's fun or because they like too, hah nah, i don't really believe that. Most that do it are either religious or their family expects them too. I've heard of a ton of sikh parents getting mad/depressed when their sons cut their hair so it could be the whole honor thing to keep turbans to keep parents happy..

  • @urfriendnave

i guess you may be right but i dono, i've seen way toooo many guys cut their hair that have had turbans to believe that most guys ONLY wear turbans because they like too...I think most guys like pree think cutting his hair would be too far since he has worn a turban and had long hair basically all his life and i dono i guess th beard is acceptable but their parents don't want them to lose the turban...well everyone's different, but I seriously doubt most guys wear

  • @indianchick1011 (cont) his family. Im sure if he doesnt want a turban, he can easily cut his hair as easily he shaves/trims his bread. As for your claim about Americans not being into turbans, let me share my personal story. Im a female. I recently started wearing a dastar. No one in my family practices Sikhi, like no one is amritdhari. Im a college student. I partied, drank, cut my hair last year but now i rock a dastar. Personal choice. Not influenced by fam or friends. I like it. Simple.

  • @indianchick1011 Yo bro (yes, i know your a sister but im used to saying bro to everyone), a lot of guys like to wear turbans because they like to! Ever since I've gone into sikhi (no, not the type that Pree portrays), I've met many guys who wear a turban because they like it and they arent even amritdhari (baptized). Turban swag rolls in america too, not just in India. Ya, family influence may play a big role, like i stated before but I doubt kids/adults like Pree is keeping his hair because of

  • but i guess many females wouldn't particularly want a guy with a huge beard....

  • but yeah guys that wear paggs and shave make no sense?? is it for girls or something??

  • @urfriendnave (continue) of them have strict Sikh parents who have the belief that if they're a guy that they have to have a turban no matter what. Most of their parents are really strict about it and these guys never have a choice...i think their parents don't care if they eat meat or drink but they want them to keep the identity (turban) alive but nowadays us western kids view things differently like if your not following it why keep a turban, but the parents think differently.
