In this episode of 60 Seconds we caught up with Detroits own Invincible to discuss Independence and those inevitable Eminem comparisons from "The Industry"

Invincible is as well known for her community activism on a host of issues, from gentrification to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as for ripping the MIC. Dubbed by XXL Magazine as every A&Rs worst nightmare for rejecting major label deals and general industry politrix, Invincible started her own record label, EMERGENCE, self-releasing her long-awaited full length LP, ShapeShifters, June, 2008.

Invincible is also a member of the all-female group, ANOMOLIES, which seeks to erase misogynistic narratives in Hip-Hop by reflecting, musically and beyond, true womanhood.

  • dude looks like a lady or the other way around..

  • Shapeshifters is such a fucking good album.

  • I find this so funny... She's on 60 Seconds... Eminem is on 60 Minutes... Rofl... idk why that seemed so funny to me...

  • Would like to hear Invincible and Immortal Technique put out a track together.

  • @Theflorist well he did sell out all his friggin record :}

  • OMG you've go to get mainstream stay like you underground cause you have what ppl want real talent so get yourself in that door

  • @JediMindTricks183 If I would've heard Recovery in 4th grade I'm sure I'd hold it in the same regard as Infinite, MMLP, and SSLP. BTW, how did Eminem "sell out" ? He had radio hits on his 1st real album - he's always done that. So unless you were some diehard head from Detroit in the 90's I don't think you can say that. Only time I've ever seen him sell out anything was Comerica when I saw him there with Jay Z. Being a backpacker only gets you so far, bro...

  • If you don't like that song it isn't because the song sucks, it's because you've convinced yourself Eminem is a sellout. Do I like old Eminem more? Of course, but I was a kid then and everything sounds better when you're younger. This is why in my mind, Non Phixion will always be better than anything Ill Bill will ever do - nostalgia.

  • @Theflorist Not true hes old stuff was fucking dope. You can't tell me his new era stuff is even decent he sold out and is now absolute trash.
