Umm... Dawkins was making a valid speculation. I'm not entirely sure why he put this in his book, other than the fact that a good essayist is always going to acknowledge valid alternatives to his own ideas. But since all we're really doing here is making an ad hominem attack, I'll join in the fun.

No theory is proven. This one is a good theory, a strong theory, but it's not yet a law. (Technically, even laws can never be FULLY proven, but that is spitting hairs.) We have a lot more to learn about evolutionary processes. Otherwise, I agree with you.

Evolution says nothing about the origin of life, nor does it say anything about cosmology, physics, geology, plate tectonics or any other sciences that have no relation to biology. For people to claim otherwise is incorrect and this is either an honest mistake on their part or a deliberate and dishonest tactic to turn people to "God" by claiming that a scientifically proven theory that has millions of separate instances of evidence is nothing more than conjecture.

Creationist Tactic 11: When you have been demonstrated by your opponent's refutation to be absolutely wrong, ignore the refutation and re-assert your original claim.

You don't understand what he is saying at all. The point of this is saying that believing aliens created us is far more logical than saying god did it, because those aliens came from so where. It does no good to answer the question "where does this complexity come from?" with "Well an even more complex being that has always been did it." Then you have to ask where that complex being came from. An alien could come from a similar (or congruent) crane of evolution, a god has to just be there
