Carol Henning - NY Comedy Club 5-15-09

NY comic Carol Henning (aka bellydancer Tandava http://tandavadance.blogspot.com ) performs at NY Comedy Club.

Note: I originally wrote this as a solo short, but pared it down to see if it could work as stand-up. This is its first performance in front of a club audience.

Please excuse the poor audio and the noise in the background, the set was late in the evening during "check time," and apparently some audience members were unhappy with the bill....

@TandavaShakti Your comedy routine is hilarious. This kind of smart, razor sharpwit is what's needed in the stand-up circuit today. Have you ever thought of getting your own stand-up TV special on Comedy Central? You would be a hit with the TV audience.

Whoooaaa----this is adorably and delightfully funny! 9 1/2 minutes packed with humor, passion, humanity, and smarts...!! I''m also amazed and deeply impressed with how you managed to maintain not only your cool, but also your spirit, warmth, and humor, despite all the cell phones going off. That is awesome, and now I want to bring that amount of heart power with me every time I step on stage. Thank you for posting---this was both a delight and a lesson for me.
