Found my old Roaring Jack CDs today and looked in the net for news about Alistair. I´m truly sad that he is gone. I remember when I roared Uisge Beatha on my wedding. Thank you for the music and your message. Hope you have fun and a good e-harp in heaven...

Loved Roaring Jack - thanks so much for posting this!!! BTW - what happened to Allister? I've been out of Oz for 10 years and never heard a thing - shared a schooner or two back in the old Sando days, hate to hear he is no longer with us!!!

Those Thursday nights will never be forgotten by those who were there. Can't believe you've gone but your music will survive forever. Glad I had a chance to meet you, T.

Vale to a great singer and a great socialist activist. Alistair was a friend of my union, the BLF, at a time when many friends seemed to disappear. He was loyal and commited to the struggle of working clas people across the globe.
Yeah, and his gigs at the Sando are some of my best memories of the 1980s. You are sorely missed comrade
