Great performance! Yves Devernay is one of my favorite organists. I love hearing the Pierre Cochereau era sound of the organ. I don’t think it sounds as good after the restoration that happened in the 90’s.
I would say the tempo is to fast... wait, I would say the tempo is too slow... wait, is there even a tempo? Go ahead, say that I have no business criticizing Yves Devernay, rest in peace, but I've never heard a worse performance of this glorious work. It's a bad sign, when the work of an artist of the stature of Marcel Dupré can be so deformed, and yet audiences will put up, and clap at the end.

Mitico Devernay bravissimo organista !! sarebbe stato ancora più bello se sarebbe rimasto a suonare a Notre Dame .... Requiescat in Pace
