He is like a devoted slave of an evil master when it comes to *his art*. He is a grubby little minion who will do anything asked of him without question, or regard for the consequences. Chilling.

Mistral's selfishness during the war comes from self preservation and little understandable but it's completely astounding

I know dear... Best part of my family...

@SuperHadassa1 I guess.I just can imagine it had to be heartbreaking. So many jews died for nothing, just because of a man's madness.

Jidoth Krantz is brilliant like Daniellle Steel,. Barbara Taylor--Bradford and Catherine Cookson and Jackie Collins. Well as long it is not Barbara Cartland that is alright she was way TOO much.
Memory is a terrible thing when it comes to age , For the whole time could only remember Ian Richardson''s first name had to check the cast list to remember the last name. He was a great talent all the good die young.

Mistral's selfish and bad here!!He totally ignores the beret man just because he's a jew.He only thinks of himself.Sleazy!!

@7JCvos1990 Oh, so sorry, my source was incorrect. Thank you.
Ian Richardson's scene is quite moving and distressing. Marvelous actor, who left us all too soon in 2002. RIP.
