Daneduggan26,u need to study better before you try to make your points.

Dane, please explain what doctrine originated with a man named 'Campbell' since you label members of the churches of Christ (Romans 16:16) with that name. It is not baptism, for that is the doctrine of Christ (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38, 22:16; Rom. 6:3-6; 1 Peter 3:21). So, what doctrine originated with a man named 'Campbell'? I can back up what I believe with the Bible. I am unfamiliar with anything this man 'Campbell' wrote so please provide details about his doctrine that originated with him.

Philaufan, Dane does not even try to answer your question about 1 Peter 3:21 -- but chooses to make personal attacks. That's sad.

acts 8 the eunich said here is water
-
Brother, You are just like the rest of these Cambellites.
-
Well if you read the context before the verse....Noah and them were saved by water...and then going to 1 Peter 3:21 "like figure" baptism saves. I don't deny Holy Spirit baptism. You take these verses and deny what it's saying to match your denominational views.
-
How do you know He is talking about water Baptism? you know there is a Holy Spirit baptism that you deny..

God help these Campbelites
1 Peter 3:21 How can we explain this verse? Why does this verse say that baptism saves us? It's weird, should we take this verse out?

in the bible there were churches of Christ long before the cambell movement.matt.16;18,romans16:16. and they are still here this day. "jesus said,"the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". cambell is not the founder. Christ is. do you believe what an encyclopedia tells you before God's word?!
THE PROOF IS IN GOD'S WORD.
