This is from 1983. Thriller was still cool hence the Michael Jackson Leathers.
There's a rumour going around that Obama will be a 'Sacrificial Lamb' in that he will be assassinated for his own cause.
Given the right set of circumstances, I can see how it would certainly create a public out-cry and almost definitely be used to someone's political gain.

Eddy's great! Delirious is one of the best stand-up routines ever.
But about Obama... was it an attempt - or a plan to assasinate him?
People predict it will happen eventually, but I say it would be almost imposible to do unless it was a powerfull organisation that did it like the CIA or whatever.
So if it does happen, there would be a big plan behind it.
That option now seems to be there for them.

it was an ATTEMPT! they had their snipers, fake ids, camouflage gear, meth, and everything else they needed. as they were driving to the location, they got pulled over on a routine traffic stop and that's where the police learned of the plot. they were planning on sniping him out as he gave his speech at the democratic convention in denver i believe

An attempt at sniping him would have meant they missed.
They attempted to get there to then carry out there PLAN, but did not get a chance to attempt to assassinate Obama.
