I think the neck on this version is fatter in order to secure the blade sufficiently for twirling and light dueling.

Excellent review, pretty much hit the main parts of the reasons I haven't gotten this saber in the FX version, it isn't all that accurate especially in the aforementioned "neck" of the saber. Honestly, if you want a good ROTJ "FX" lightsaber, I'd probably suggest the Arc Wave from Parks Sabers. It has the thin neck design, and if the shots are any indication, a blade that's just as bright, and I believe far more sturdy than MR/Hasbro.

@Anduril74871 Thanks dude. Yes I am fully aware of the arc wave/nova designs (and how damned expensive they are) and they are truly the best replicas you can buy.
