Space Shuttle Endeavour lights up the sky as it launches from Cape Canaveral, Florida on Monday, February 8th at 4:14am. This is the last ever planned night launch for the United States Space Program. This mission is to deliver the Tranquility Node to the U.S. Section of the International Space Station, as well as Cupola, a robotic control station that will provide a 360 degree view around the Space Station.
I believe in my heart that when a catastrophy the likes of which humans have never seen strikes earth, we will surely regret not having taken advantage of that space out there....

It's a real shame actually... To witness what we are capable of... And to not persue outer space. To survive as a species, we need to find other places besides earth to live, and we need to figure out how to get there. It needs to happen. No ifs ands or buts about it. I can not tell you how important space exploration is. And for the world to sit back and say, there's just no money. Well I think that is rediculous.
