John said playing BSSM songs was like "somebody else was fucking your girlfriend", as if trying to say when Dave Navarro played guitar for RHCP during the BSSM album wasn't right for him, thus I believe this is why they don't play many songs off that album.

@popomczowzow yeah dude how good would it be if they brought out songs live like mellow ship, jungle man, buckle down love trilogy and old school peppers that we hardly evr hear live!! it would be a dream. Primus did it where they did shows where they played albums in their entirety, how cool it would be if peppers did that!!

i would pay to go to a peppers concert where they just played apache rose peacock, mellowship slinky and funky monks. i would love if they played other old stuff too.
