The point of some of these things - like the thermostat - isn't to be able to change it while you're home as much as when you're not. Maybe you live where the temperature outside never changes, but some of us don't and sometimes the weather turns very different from what you expected. With this you would be able to switch on the heat or A/C remotely so the house is still comfortable when you get home. It would also be good at home for people with disabilities. Not a fail. Good job AT&T!

This is a shame! These HUGE monthly fees, TWO YEARE CONTRACT with early termination fees!! This is a off-the shelf zWave system available from many vendors. I use HomeSeer but Mia CasaVerde and other offer zWave systems w/o monthly fee. You do need to add an alarm system but both products can integrate with a robust standard alarm system with a reasonable monthly fee.

It is "Really Cool" until you realize they are charging HUGE monthly fees for what is available for NO fees!
