I noticed on many of the Hoovers my mum had in the 80's that they tend to slow slightly at the begining of the spin...... wonder why they did that?

@jaredini the ramp up from 800 to 1100 is acheived by the programmer connecting different contacts so the motor is wired diffferently, as this is happening the motor speed drops for a second or two before it ramps up to full speed

is this the model up from the electronic 1100 de luxe?
If so, am i right in thinking there are extra programmes and the timeline display thats extra over the 1100?
As a child until i was 11 we had a 1977 hoover electronic 800 de-luxe and loved it!
then we had a Hoover computer control, that was an excellent machine

@buzzman1982
all great machines, the early 800s where and still are excellent.
The Selectamatic as far as i can recall does have extra programmes over the A3110 1100 which it sold along side, and yet this model was rarely if ever advertised.
