This song is Lu Watters' "Yerba Buena Strut" composed in September of 1944.

I recorded this tune during The 15TH ANNUAL GLACIER JAZZ STAMPEDE in 2008. The festival always happens in early October.

The Yerba Buena Stompers are among the most popular bands on the dixieland/trad jazz circuit today, and I just can't get enough of their wonderful music.

John Gill says, "There's a lot of great jazz out there...but we think that Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Kid Ory, Scott Joplin, Lu Watters, and Turk Murphy had somethin' special. Our versatile musicians got together to recreate and celebrate these wonderful and historically significant jazz musicians."
