45 yrs ago, we just put dirt clay into a bucket, stir, wait stir again and flood of the gunk, add more water than once it settled the clay would form a pure layer in the water and could be seperated, is that an incorrect way of doing it?

Try cutting the bottom out of a 5 gallon bucket and attach your hardware cloth or screen. Then sift into another 5 gallon bucket. Should save you a lot of time scooping the material back off the plastic. Otherwise I liked the video.
