  • It is reverse sneezing, you can close his nose or give him a little massage in his throat, closing the nose is the better way to do that the dog breathes normal again.

  • My dog does that too. It happens more often with dogs with snouts closer to their face because it causes them to have breathing problems, also it will be easier for them to get dirt and water into their lungs and snout. It is probably possible that dogs can have asthma, because my dog has a long snout and doesn't get much dirt and water up his snout.

  • So is your dog experiencing an asthma attack?

  • maybe reverse sneezing is some kind of dog anxiety attack caused by trauma.
