Fantastic. We can all do this. But we need to educate the public about it. We need to find ways to bring this knowlege to the wider audience. In rural USA most people are educated by the right wing corporate agenda. How can we break through this? People resist new knowledge. I am scared of being hurt. Some people are violent when someone has new ideas on how to improve the community. What can we do? What can someone like me without money do to educate the community? I want to help.

She uses the word 'agriculture' to talk about 'food production.'

Agriculture is just one method of food production, and it is, in contrast to permaculture, a much less elevated, productive/efficient, and a much more harsh use of land. It is extremely widely characterised by the exclusive use of flat, unstable, demanding, intrusive, pest-vulnerable, and destructive methods, such as in the super-common, row-cropping monoculture of my homeland. (Think corn and soy.)

Why did she say, "setting limits to population and consumption"?? I've never HEARD such a thing, spouted off in place of real & true permaculture philosophy!!

I wish to know who this lady is, and why she is substituting her unimaginative, poverty-minded, new-world-order crap in place of the truth of abundance.

@nicolatwo Yes! I agree, we do need to get the knowledge of permaculture ethics and principles out to the masses, most of which have never ever heard the word "permaculture" before. Control of population and consumption moves directly into a full blown head on collision with wall street and our own government. GDP is based on an exponential growth of 4% to 5% and a steady population growth of at least 1.5 to 2% per year.

Economies based on science and natural process are great and should be what we aim for but will sorry to say not happening. World economies are based on greed, deceit, war, and exploitation. It's that simple straight forward and will not change easily.

I really appreciate what you are doing here, but PLEASE stop "using" other "sentient beings"! They have just as much right to live as THEY CHOOSE - not fenced (enslaved) where human animals think they should be! Uhm, you do know that it's the "right wing" that encourages people to have their own land, own food, and own water source (private wells), so they are not dependent on the government, don't you? It's the "left wing" that encourages otherwise (they want you to be dependent on them, so they can control you), and it's the "left wing" that's in the education system now, teaching our kids to be socialists, to be reliant.

Ideals and govt mandates on people make this no better than communist china. These types of mandates reduce Free Will and Liberty. Those govt. that impose shuch doctines are, when you look at the writings of marx and socialist and others, they are luciferian. You mention education, many state colleges project a socialist incdoctrination on youth. Most are funded by elite socialist engeneering endowments. We are beeing fed a heavy dose of mind control every day. Dont be so nieve and wake up.
