part 1, pdd-nos 6-year-old boy visits DENTIST englewood nj 6-22-09

autistic spectrum pddnos 6-yr-old boy gets his teeth repaired by dr wen-hui LIU of englewood, nj. This is the first time jack has been drilled by a "regular" dentist, but it is his second visit to dr liu. Last week dr liu showed jack the office and how he can take photographs of the mouth with a computer. Jack was very interested in the computer. Now jack is back and he is very cooperative, thanks to ABA kindergarten in mrs brophy's class in Leonia NJ. ABA therapy uses positive reinforcement, nothing negative, so jack is very trusting. He expects nothing bad will happen to him and it doesn't. Credit also goes to the pediatric dentist jack used to see, who showed him a dental office was nothing to fear. grandma knew jack would love to visit a "computer dentist" because computers are jack's passion.

Jack used to cry at the office of his pediatric dentist, but for some unknown reason he did not cry when he visited dr liu. I don't know why that is but i was so astonished that i made this video to show his parents.

I think this dentist did a great job.

i hate the dentist he his so well behaved, i used to scream and cry for hours befor during and after, mainly the smell irrited me and the feel from the rubbar gloves.
