why does it HAVE to be sexy? who cares? it's about the dance skill not sex appeal. bellydance is a serious art form. only people that dont appreciate the art form will be disappointed by the lack of "sex appeal"

The transition you are referring to is the Saidi break. I specifically chose to highlight the moves I wanted to refer to for this folkdance. And although hopping moves are common in Saidi, for Egyptian style it is extremely unheard of for an Egyptian female dancer (meaning the style of Egyptian Raks Sharqi) to jump or hop.

The drum solo is by Issam Houshan and is called "The Dancer's Drum Solo" off of his 'Wassan Pharaoun' album. Love him!
