Israeli and Palestinian leaders will begin regular negotiations in a bid to reach a peace agreement within a year. The pledge comes as the two sides held their first face-to-face talks in almost two years. The U.S. says the talks in Washington between Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli prime minister Benyamin Netanyahu were constructive, with both sides aiming for a peace deal. But despite the positive mood of negotiations, Jewish settlements and recent Hamas attacks, remain major stumbling blocks. The Israeli Prime Minister said both parties will have to make painful concessions. In an exclusive interview, Dr. Saeeb Erakat, the chief Palestinian negotiator, told RT what he hopes the outcome will be.

  • Peace is much cheaper than war yes...its not as profitable for the elite though, so that option is off the table

  • In USA? LOL

Just like "meeting on Afghan Drug production" in London.

The reason of problem is hosting meeting "against" this artificially created problem.

Don't expect anything. Because criminals will not resolve their created problem.

  • Peace is not in our genetics. People like ghandi or Martin Luther King were freaks of nature.

  • Peace for the US? Not when war is so profitable for the corporations. It's all about war in the US: War on drugs, war on poverty, war on crime, and the latest one: the war against the American people. The only only one the US is winning is the latter.

  • @kennyeret I tho the sane instantly. Honestly is disgusting that people can gain profits from any weapon meant to use in WAR. If the ONU really care they would make a change on that, for example you can sell weapon on peaceful time but in time of war you have to supply weaponry without getting profits, gotta sell the weaponry by material, manufacture, labor force cost thats it no profits on time of war. So it close or help a bit the use of WAR as something profitable.

  • Mr Saeb Erekat - maybe Israel needs to choose between peace and settlements but before or parallel to that the Palestianians need to choose between terror and peace; violence or peace; killing of their own people or peace; feeding their youth with anti-semitism or peace; firing rockets into Israel or peace......you know what I'm getting at Mr Erekat : Get your own house in order before telling us Israelis what we need to do in order to acieve peace!!!!!

  • @klegster

The gog and magog war isn't until after the millennial reign of Messiah. Israel will most likely be ruled by islam during the tribulation times as anti Messiah is assyrian. It appears that all things are leading to these events at this time... yes.

  • @TheIndoctriNATION

All things builds up to Armageddon, no matter what it is.

  • @igorvasilevsky A knife will not cut it's own handle.

  • Wow. What a fucking revelation.

  • Peace is not as profitable to war making companies like Halliburton.
