Bin Laden targets France, blasts burqa ban and Afghan war

In an audio tape aired on Al Jazeera television on Wednesday al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden targeted French interests, claiming the country's burqa ban and the presence of French troops in Afghanistan justified the killing of French nationals. http://www.france24.com/fr/

@spaceflightfan As far as I am concerned people have used religion to scare other people and control them to take their resources. That is the reality. Fundamentals in all religions believe that soon it will be the end of the world and therefore we must all be scared to death and kill each other. If you walk down the street in some Islamic countries without a head scarf, you could get a beating by people paid to enforce Islamic dress law, they don't care if you are muslim or not. The burqa law in France will only affect about 2000 people according to the French Gov. So what kind of law, that targets less than .005 of the population do? @WTF31000 You can wear what you want in the US and in France but try to wear nothing at all and in both countries you will be arrested. Because being naked is not tolerated in both countries. I am a french citizen and an American Citizen and I have to comply with the laws of both countries. What is wrong with you? Every country has its own rules, either abide by them or get out. If I have to go to Saudi Arabia I will have to wear the clothing that is required in that country otherwise....
